Thank You!

We just wanted to take some time to thank all the people that made Vthankyou possible. Thank you to everyone (pictured above in the mosaic) that made a vsnap of thanks to veterans and their families and to all of you that tweeted (generating over 2 million impressions), emailed, and shared this campaign. We’d especially like to thank, Fish & Richardson and HubSpot for their donations (total $6,220 to the Wounded Warrior Project), and Active Minds, BostInnovation, Boston Centers for Youth and Families, Boston World Partnerships, MassChallenge, Pixability, RockTech, and the Veterans Services Department (City of Boston) for all their support.

If you’d like to run a campaign like Vthankyou, you can check out Vsnap’s case study.

Vthankyou at the Walk of Thanks

On Thursday, one of our team members participated in the Back On My Feet/New England Center for Homeless Veterans Walk of Thanks. Sadly, most of our footage didn’t come out because of the pouring rain, but we did get a Vthankyou message from Bridget Horne, Director of Communications and Corporate Relations at Back On My Feet (Boston).

As a side plug if you’re in Boston, Back On My Feet has a running program with the New England Center for Homeless Veterans 4 days a week. Click here for more information on how to volunteer!

Vthankyou with the Rotary Club of Boston

Last week, we were able to catch the tail end of a meeting with the Rotary Club of Boston. Thanks to everyone that took some time to record messages of thanks to our veterans and their families!

Vthankyou at HubSpot

On Friday, we stopped by HubSpot for HubSpotTV and to get some of their team to record messages of thanks to our veterans and their families.

During Vthankyou, our sponsor was donating $5 (up to $5,000) to Wounded Warrior Project for each video message recorded, but David Cancel (Chief Product Officer), Dharmesh Shah (Founder/CTO), Jim O’Neill (CIO), and Kirsten Knipp (VP, Europe) graciously decided to match whatever we raised, adding a $20 donation to each message from a HubSpotter. We recorded 61 messages ($1,220) that afternoon bringing our overall Vthankyou total to $6,220!

Special thanks to Laura Fitton who left on her evangelist hat for us, as well as Karen Rubin and Beth Dunn. It was a great to end our week of thanks with a supportive company like HubSpot!

More thank yous!

It didn’t matter whether or not people took up the full length of a vsnap (one minute), it mattered that they took the time, 3 seconds or 30, to say thank you. Here’s the last bunch of the one minute series:

Hope all the veterans, all those serving and their families had a very happy Veterans Day!

How long does it take for 100 people to say thank you?

Where’d all these thumbnails come from? They’re from the one minute videos we’ve been posting on the blog over the past couple days. About 100 people saying thank you in around 10 minutes. Pretty incredible. Here’s the second set of videos in the series.

Record your own video message on Vsnap, share your message with vthankyou@vsnap.com (you’ll see this on the share page), and $5 will go the Wounded Warrior Project! Tell your friends on Facebook or tweet (use the hashtag #vthankyou).

From Dallas to Philly, from Winchester to Irvine

Here’s another set of Vthankyou messages… from Dallas to Philly, from St. Mary’s Youth Group in Winchester to the Active Minds Chapter at UC Irvine… it’s amazing to see folks coming together to say thank you. Click on the thumbnails below to view their Vthankyou messages!
